Exmouth bay offers a multitude of water sports like kayaking and kite surfing opportunities as well as walking and cycle paths along the Exe estuary.  Take a trip along the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast while bird watching or just enjoy the beautiful scenery.  The town offers indoor as well as outdoor bowling facilities, prestigious golf clubs, and a number of alternative sports clubs. A great weekend of family entertainment awaits at the annual Exmouth Festival with live music, arts & crafts, children’s activities, food, drink and much more. The Country Life centre is a hub of experiences and activities for the whole family with everything from live animals and a children’s playground, to birds of prey displays and a museum of historic transport and more.

We can arrange boat trips along the River Exe with full commentary on the sightings of thousands of migratory birds.  The cruise lasts approximately 3 hours and can be arranged through the Hotel.  During the summer months a ferry takes you across from Exmouth to Starcross for visits to the historic Powderham Castle, Teignmouth, Dawlish and other places of interest.

The town comes alive in the Autumn for the annual Illuminated Carnival when floats and streams of singers and dancers snake their way through the town’s streets, culminating in an evening of dancing and good food for all visitors.

New Year is another time when dressing up and taking to the streets of Exmouth is an experience not to be missed.  A fun community organised event culminating in a spectacular fire works display heralding in the New Year.
