We are incredibly lucky to be situated on The Beacon overlooking Exmouth shore and beyond. Close to the town centre – 6 minutes walking from Exmouth train station, bus station as well as the incredible beach and the start of the world heritage Jurassic Coast.
Access: Listed buildings, like ours, are historic to the town and Manor Hotel is part of the Blue Plaque route. This does however also mean that our facilities are limited for wheelchair users as doorways and corridors are narrow and our entrance (on a hill) has 3 steps leading up to our front door. We provide a ramp for ease of access but reaching our small lift requires guests to climb 4 more steps. If you have some limited mobility and can manage to climb the stairs to the lift, we do offer some rooms with walk in showers. Please be aware that some of our 1st floor bedrooms have steps within the room. Our building programme is set to get in to swing again in the quieter winter months when more en suite bathrooms will be refurbished to include more showers. Needless to say we are tied to the layout of the historic building but do our best to incorporate modern conveniences where we can. Please inform our staff of any requirements at the time of booking to ensure we can allocate you to a suitable to your needs.
We have NO rooms on the ground floor – access to all floors is via our stairs or the small, newly upgraded lift.
Parking in Exmouth, as in most busy town centres but more importantly a sea side town can be a challenge. There is free on road parking available outside the front and back of the hotel if you are lucky enough to find a space. We do offer limited parking on a first-come, first served basis for up to 10 cars @ £6 per night. Of these, can be booked in advance of your visit. Exmouth benefits from a number of council car parks all within reasonable walking distance of the hotel. Please ask at reception for a map to these car parks. We are lucky to be on the main Land Train route meaning that a walk in to town or down to the beach can be followed by catching the blue and white stripy train back to our front door, during the summer months. Disabled badge owners may park outside our front door for a limited time to unload guests and luggage.
WIFI throughout the hotel is free and HIGH SPEED. We have installed boosters on each floor to ensure every room receives excellent signal.
Catering: You may include our wonderful breakfast in your room package. Having recently upgraded our offerings fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as cereal and full cooked English breakfast is available. Breakfast and dinner is served in our newly refurbished dining room on the ground floor. The evening menus change daily and the choices are two or three courses including fish, meat, and vegetarian option. Please inform our fantastic staff should you have special dietary requirements so that we can ensure you enjoy every moment of your stay.
Cream Teas, Afternoon Teas and snack lunches are often just what one needs when on holiday – menus are available at reception so make sure you treat yourselves.
Our Bar is fully stocked with a wide selection of Gin and other spirits as well as a carefully selected range of delicious Burgundy wines at very special and reasonable prices. Allow yourself to enjoy a bottle over dinner.
All Rooms are furnished with all the usual tea/coffee making facilities as well as TV and telephone. All calls to UK Landline numbers are FREE! We have placed an information pack folder in each room to ensure you don’t miss out on what we offer or at what time. Please leaf through the information and ask our staff should anything be lacking. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
